AHRMNY is pleased to present our Annual Fall Half-Day Educational Conference on Tuesday, 12/6/2016 at The DeMatteis Conference Center in Greenvale, NY.  This will be our first conference held on Long Island and we hope many of our members and friends will be able to attend.

We have an exciting program scheduled that will address several issues related to establishing effective communication in the medical setting for patients with disabilities.  The program will describe the requirements of Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act, discuss the legal ramifications of non-compliance with Section 1557 and describe a patient's perspective while navigating thought the healthcare environment.

Parking is free at DeMatteis Conference Center.  Attendees traveling by public transportation, may take the Long Island Railroad from New York Penn Station (or a station closer to your starting point) to the Greenvale Station (Oyster Bay Branch) or Great Neck Station (Port Washington Branch).  Upon arrival at Long Island station, you should then take a taxi to the DeMatteis Center. Uber as well as local taxi services (Mid Island Taxi 516-671-0707) / (Great Neck Taxi 516-482-0077) are available.  Taxi service from Greenvale Station to DeMatteis Conference Center is 5 minutes and from Great Neck Station is 15 minutes.

Please note: DeMatteis Center is NOT located within St. Francis Hospital.  DeMatteis Center is 4 miles past the main hospital campus at 101 Northern Blvd., Greenvale NY.
